a demonstration, for the Tipsy Turtles team

Three of your frames,
with nothing underneath them.

Your snippets are PNGs pinned on IPFS. What is on Cardano is a pointer — and a pointer is only as permanent as whoever keeps paying to pin it. Each of these is the same frame redrawn as vector art and written into the minting transaction itself. No gateway, no pin, no bill.

Together that is 4.1 MB of pinned PNG on one side and 35.2 kB of transaction on the other. Open any of them: the left panel is fetched live from your gateway, the right is decoded from the chain.

Tipsy Turtles_Bonus Snippet_1 Tipsy Turtles_Bonus Snippet_1A character bust with a hand-lettered subtitle. Stubble is individual strokes, not a hatch fill; the hat flap is drawn as its own lobe. their PNG 2.12 MB our transaction 14.3 kB Tipsy Turtles_Chapter 2 Snippet Tipsy Turtles_Chapter 2 SnippetTraced from their frame in MY.DRAW, then crushed 110 KB → 9.4 KB so the transaction still fits. Same pose; the outlines are faceted on purpose. their PNG 1.49 MB our transaction 13.7 kB Tipsy Turtles_Bonus Snippet_2 Tipsy Turtles_Bonus Snippet_2A user interface, which is vector-native content photographed as a raster. This is the one that comes back essentially exact. their PNG 0.49 MB our transaction 7.2 kB

They are not equally faithful, and that is the point

A user interface comes back essentially exact — its pixel art is not even a recreation, it is the same grid of cells, extracted and re-encoded. A calm bust is a faithful redraw. A face pulled into a shout is the hardest of the three, because the expression lives in exactly the small shapes a byte budget wants to delete. Held beside the originals at full size the differences are visible, and they are stated on each page rather than glossed.

What none of them need is a gateway, a pin, or anyone still paying a bill in ten years.

Attribution. Tipsy Turtles own the artwork, the characters and the frames. This is an unaffiliated technical demonstration made to show them what their own work looks like with no IPFS under it — it is not an official Tipsy Turtles release and does not claim to be. Their collection is at tipsyturtles.nmkr.io (policy b2dd37065c35e5d0…) and they are on X. If they would rather this did not exist, it comes down.
